Google Search Results For The iPhone And Android

The Google Mobile blog came up with an announcement that declared the launch of visually optimized search results These are designed to fit the screens of the iPhone and G1 mobile devices, or Android. Now, users don’t have to worry about zooming in or scrolling down!

Earlier, users were required to manually go to Google.com in the Safari browser for the results update. Now, with this launch, users will view the new results page by using the default Google search box in the iPhone in the Safari browser.

And for the G1, users can access the new results page after making a thorough search on the search widget on the Android home page or by using Google.com.

“Now, all Google search options for Android and iPhone lead to results that load faster and are formatted to fit the screen so you don’t have to zoom or scroll side-to-side. We’ve also added touchscreen-friendly buttons and expandable maps for local business results.

The optimized search results pages are currently available in U.S. English for Android and for iPhone and iPod touch devices with firmware 2.x. If you prefer, you can always view desktop search result pages by selecting the “Classic” link at the bottom of any page.” – Google
