They created 28 videos 15 seconds and up to 8 minutes in length with a 3-5 second message at the end containing a URL to a website that might be relevant or interesting to the viewer. They created videos that were “amateurish” with personal blog information and comedy the main subject. The videos are now generating over 300,000 views each month.

1. Target your videos to relevant search terms. You must research what people are searching for and how often before you began.
2. Keep the videos short, less than five minutes is best. If the subject requires a longer video break them up into segments or packages.
3. Make sure the video is interesting enough that people will want to share it with others. You want to recruit others to help with the marketing.
4. Try not to make the video a commercial, it must be entertaining and unique.
5. Create a series of videos on a regular basis. This will encourage people to subscribe and watch them on a regular basis.
6. Create written content to go with the video in a blog and include a forum to encourage discussion. Search engines can not see the video so this is very important.
7. The content needs to be set up to notify the social sites and feedburners automatically. RSS subscription buttons need to be easy to find and use. The video should be distributed to a number of video sites.
8. It is important to allocate a sufficient budget to create and promote quality videos. This should include a team that will cover all aspects of the creation, editing, SEO, blogging, forums, distribution and design.
