Google Displaying ‘Sudden’ Google AdWords AD Scores in some TLDs
There is a new addition to the wonders that keep appearing in Google’s SERPs (Search Engine Result Pages). According to Search Engine Land, this wonder is the sudden appearance of elements in Google AdWord advertisements that Google use for evaluating quality scores. As of now these sudden appearances have been reported from google.de (mostly German Top Level Domains).
There are three parameters that are visible in the SERPs
-
Pscore
-
mCPC
-
Thresh
Most commonly, mCPC is being regarded as an abbreviation for ‘Minimum Click-Per-Cost’.
The other facto that has been baffling users is Pscore. However, there is a possible answer to this mystery term. According to European Bioinformatics Institute , “P-score represents minus logarithm of the P-value. P-value measures the probability of achieving the same or better quality of match at a chance, i.e. at random picking the structures from the database. “Quality of match” is a complex characteristics, which accounts for RMSD, number of aligned residues Nalgn, number of gaps Ngaps, number of matched Secondary Structure Elements and the SSE match score. The higher P-score (the lower P-value), the more surprising, or statistically significant, is the match.”
Lastly, ‘Thresh’ can also be assumed as an abbreviation for ‘Threshold’. Still, till the time there is any official response from Google, till then let the speculations be something to be thought of and to be believed.
